French Acoustic pop? and world music

I found this artist Constance Amiot in the Putumayo Acoustic France album. The song selected in that album is a hit song by this singer/composer from France. She got the traditional jazzy voice which is what I like about. No screaming/yelling like many of the American singers do here (too much soul elements). I was attracted by the simplicity of her music. Smooth, catchy sounding throughout. I purchased her album last night at iTunes after listening her music in her MySpace page. Here are some of the links, you might check it out:

I acquired many Putumayo music yesterday too. Most of them were african music. I've no idea what they're singer about. But I feel freedom, love and happiness in their music, very open, upbeat; not a bit of sadness or romance. There's really more than just mainstream rock, RnB, pop, dance...if you're willing to open and accept. I feel great about it. Traditional Music in each countries' represent the rich culture and history. I'm truly honored to listen to music played by their local musicians.
