I was reading an article on Guardian UK about an author describes his feeling of the 'brick n mortar' bookstores in UK. He mentioned that he couldn't find what he wanted in Borders even in their system says 'in stock'. And some other franchise bookstores didn't have what he wanted. I believe what he says is true. Many others commented on this article. They just find Amazon and Abe have lots more selections and varieties regarding the genre. I came across with a bookstore called Waterstones which's actually owned by HMW groups. Yes, the HMV that we see all the time in HK. I did a few more clicks and found out Chris Pattern will be signing his new books in the Causeway Bay HMV on 3rd Nov, 08 at noon~2pm. Don't miss it if you're in HK. Guess what I'll get him!!! An egg tart from 泰昌餅家. Well, in this case if I were in HK. :D
