Our company invited all of us to an early Xmas Dinner since some of us will be having vacation beginning next week. We went to a nearly restaurant (20 mins drive). It's called Harry Caray http://www.harrycarays.com/home.html It's located in Westin Hotel. They basically serve typical American food ex. steak, pasta, seafood platter... They had pictures of anyone famous that'd been to the restaurant hanging in the waiting area. We got a round table enough to squeeze everybody in, altogether seven of us. Our boss ordered some appetizers while we were picking our main course. I'm so regret that I didn't try the fried ravioli >.<; My boss ordered a bottle of red wine as well. I didn't want to have it at first but then my boss asked me again. Why not?! 'I won't die if I drink a little!!' I told myself.
Prior to our order. The server carried out a set of demonstration steaks. He explained all the meat they carry is USDA certified and aged for 2-5 days. They say that process would make the meat more tender. Oh yea, I forgot to mention each dish costs from $15-40+; Steaks cost $25-40+. Most of us ordered steak. I ordered Lamb Chops Oreganato. There's no price stated on the menu. So it's still a mystery of how much it was.
The lamb chops were great, big and juicy. It's effortless to cut through the meat. Meaning the meat itself is really tender. There were some side dishes that came with the steak. Someone ordered broccoli, guess how they serve it to you. They put them as it is after boiling it. It was like a tree! I'm thinking that must be a way to show their customers that they don't use frozen broccoli stems like others. The Mushrooms and mashed potatoes were great. Perhaps I just haven't got a chance to taste american food for a long time. But the meal was great. For dessert, I had a tiramisu. I liked the fact it's not as sweet as i expected. We shared some joy on that night.
