16th November, 2007: Received Gateway retore CD for my laptop!

The only and final remedy for my screwed-up computer is here! Gateway sent me the restore CD for my laptop thru Fedex Extremely Urgent delivery. I don't think they'd send it to me if I didn't email them about the status/confirmation for the request. As a matter of fact, they sent it out the moment after they read my mail. >_<;

It wasn't easy to restore my laptop. It took me half the night to figure why my computer kept rsetarting in the middle of restoration. I noticed that my laptop was running full throttle and it got really hot. So I was thinking that might be caused by overheating. I was clever enough to make my computer vent better by moving it to the edge of my desk (the only place where the fan can get cool air is from the bottom of the laptop). I strongly suggest all of the laptop users here to drill a hole on your desk. So your computer would not ever get overheated!! Haha!!

But I could really tell the temp. went down a lot. It was about 80 degree F, after moving to the edge it was about 50-60 degree F. And importantly, the restoration went all the way thru and now I got my precious laptop back!
