I don't remember when I had the idea of customizing the desktop theme. At least I still remember myself trying but failed at the end. This thursday I was trying to modify the look of the theme in my office's computer desktop. Initially I wanted to modify the theme to Vista. I was able to do that, in addition to that I got a nice cool dock. It's called RocketDock. If you have seen Mac's OS, you'd know what it is. It's a tool that makes your shortcuts icons organized, big, shiny, on your screen. I found it extremely handy at work. I dare not to uninstall it. What I like about this is its functionalities and practicality. It's fully customizable. Yes it does!!! You can modify its icons, size, transparency; adding new shortcuts, adjusting position and so on...
Therefore after that afternoon, I came home and did some research on the desktop themes. I wanted to basically convert my laptop's windows XP desktop to Mac OS. Oh yea..it took me the whole night to research and test. Finally I found what I need to make it happen. I used StyleXP, a tool which allows users to apply varieties of desktop themes to your computer. I downloaded that Tiger X2 theme which resembles the Mac's OS. It was stunning when I first saw it!!! I'm using a Mac!?! I even downloaded addition mods for the mouse cursor. A nice clean wallpaper is a must. Now my desktop looks something like this at the moment.
Amazing or not? I love it! ^^
