Lost is the last few dramas that I'd try prior watching. I didn't understand why it's so mysterious about getting stranded on an island and getting no rescue. And yes I still believe somehow the rescue team would be able to track where the plane crashed..I put that factor aside and paid more attention to the stories and events happened in the drama. It's surprisingly addictive! Here is why:
- Flashes of memories explain what each character struggled with in their real world.
- Jungle full of unexpectedness
- Attractive casts (Kate is so cute!, Sawyer is the ultimate joy in the show)
- Lively characters (I thought John Locke is my dad!, Sayid can fix anything and he speaks the truth)
- The story unfold at a slow pace, which also means you would stick around week after week or in my case episode after episode. Keeps you guessing!
- It's always fun to see what people do when they're stranded. I mean really what've you not seen in your world.
- It's inspirational. Survivors on the island tend to conquer their fear, disbelieve, shyness, misjudgment, heart-broken feeling, weakness and most of all their pasts. In other words, what would you do differently if you get a second chance back to your own world.
- Additional casts/characters. It keeps the show interesting/refreshing even though many of my favorite characters died.
- The minimal sci-fi element makes it scary and MYSTERIOUS. Yes I just said the magic word. :D
- Different ethnicity can be seen in the show. I was laughing when I see the Korean watching Sayid worshipping Allah on a sail boat. Sayid was actually smiling a bit in that scene.
Of course there're things that I don't enjoy too too much or don't make sense. But not that many to be frank:
- Are you okay? Are you alright? You want to talk about it? Hey!
- I hear those lines all the time from Kate and Jack.
- No food poisoning have occurred yet
- Don't think you can catch that many fish close to the shore or simply at the beach
- More actions please. Such as Locke actually threw a knife and kill something, Sayid maps out a plan to counter attack the 'others'.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the show still. Like I said the characters keep the show interesting. Kate rules! She can climb :D
