Steve unveiled the new MacBooks lineup

The new macbooks are simply astonishing. All three models (Macbook, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air) have the same standard features LED backlit display, backlit keyboard (except 2.0Ghz macbook), glass multi gesture trackpad, unibody aluminum case. And yes they are all silver now.

There are some more improvements on the macbooks. Such as extend seamless glass screen just like the iMac, 5x faster GPU with 256 MB (enough for midcore gaming, can handle most FPS games), 1 lb lighter than its predecessor, slightly thinner as well. Apple proudly presented its environmental friendly report to everyone. It seems they're doing their best to use non-toxic, recycleable materials.

The new glass trackpad has no button, read this from official web:

Hey, where’s the button?

The amazing new trackpad doubles as a button — just press down anywhere and consider it clicked. No separate button means there’s 39 percent more room for your fingers to move on the silky glass surface. Now that Multi-Touch gestures have come to MacBook, all the function is in your fingers. Use two fingers to scroll up and down a page. Pinch to zoom in and out. Swipe with three fingers to flip through your photo libraries. Rotate to adjust an image with your fingertips. Using the new four-finger swipe gesture, swipe up or down to access Exposé modes and left or right to switch between open applications. If you’re coming from a right-click world, you can right-click with two fingers or configure a right-click area on the trackpad. The more you use the Multi-Touch trackpad, the more you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

Overall, it's a good move to upgrade and renewed the underrated MacBooks. I'm very tempted to get one and ebay my current BlackBook. It's true that there's no more color selections on the MacBooks. Perhaps it's a good thing to unify the colors and materials. It's the best way to slash cost. My BlackBook will soon become a classic and yes it's discontinued from this point on!
