My Captain's Apprentice, arr. by Simon Mayor
Fantaisie - Pieces De Viole Book III
This set of strings is better than the GHS silk and steel. Part of the reason is because of the gauge of this set. It's light!!! My previous set was medium gauge. Yes it gave me more volume, but the bass was too overwhelming, especially on my oval mando. It had so much reverb. I would say now with the light gauge it's more balanced. I love the sweet tone of it. It ain't bad. I might order some more in the future.
Oh yea...it took me more than an hour to change the strings. I believe retuning/adjust the bridge took me a good amount of time. It's all good. I learned how to adjust the bridge and retune now. I was doing slowly to make sure the pitch is dead on. I'm quite impressed I should say.
