PayPlay.fm is the best sources for Indie Music

This website is somewhat similar to the Napster, the online music store. However PayPlay only targets for those who listen to Independent Music. Their catalog database is huge, ranging from pop to hip-hop, jazz to classical. They even have my favorite celtic music in the World section. I can easily get access to many Irish bands like Dervish.

Did I mention they let you download music for free?
This is a catch. But it does give you quite a lot of free music if you don't just listen to one artist/band only. They have a point system which is called 'Karma'. When you sign up for an account (it's a free account). You get about 25 karma points. Each karma point allows you to download one full track from any given albums that has a karma track. 80% of the time you should see one track in an album that's free for you. I've already downloaded quite a lot of tracks, just last night altogether 20 tracks already. Best thing is you can get more karma points by writing simple comments on each album (you get up to 5 points if you're the first person reviewing the album, 1 point for writing comment for an album that has been reviewed). I got 80 points now. Enough for 80 more free tracks. Wow!!!

This site is really doing a good job attracting poeple like me who enjoy the music more than just the artist/band. I couldn't find Heidi Talbot in their database. She's the best indie female singer from the Indie Music award of 08.
