Planning on my next mini-trip

My recent visit to the nearby Riverwalk and Settlement was great. So great that I want to do another trip somewhere there's not require too much driving. I'm thinking about taking my car to a train station and take the train to downtown Chicago. My focus would be the shore side attractions. On the top of my head, I can think of the Aquarium, museums, Millennium Park, and possibly navy pier? One of the reasons why I want to go to the shore side of Chicago is that I want to take good pictures from that point toward the city skyline. I don't even know if that's possible to go there on foot. I know that if I take transportation or even I drive, I'd miss out a lot of good spots for photo. That leads to step, research tonight!
